"I perform because I love every aspect of it. The camaraderie, the the challenge, the creativity, communing with the audience. There is nothing else like it."

~Tom Glaser

As a young one, I performed onstage as often as possible. Favorite roles included Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Eugene in Look Homeward, Angel, and Stephen in Godspell.

Family, graduate school, and career pulled me away from the spotlight for a few years, but I never lost that "performing itch."

A chance opportunity as an extra on the set of a major motion picture ("Nobody") reignited my passion. And like that, I returned to my first love, appearing in films, commercials, and onstage. My most viewed commercial is an Explore Minnesota spot with Minnesota Twins' Joe Mauer.

"To me, art is a Vehicle of Evolution. It brings meaning. Tapping our emotions, performers and audiences alike connect with ourselves and one another, uncover the truth, and are invited to reach our highest potential."

Favorite live roles include Ross in Theater NOW's Visiting Mr. Green and Ensemble in 20% Theater Company’s award-winning The Naked I: Wide Open (see Aisle Say quote, by Sophie Kerman on this page). One of my all-time favorite roles was as Cornelius in Rosetown Players' production of Hello Dolly!

Another highlight was hiring an outrageously talented group of actors and crew and together creating "Full Heart Living LIVE!: The Boot Camp Experience." Based on my book, Full Heart Living: Conversations with the Happiest People I Know, Full Heart Living LIVE! is an entertaining, unpredictable, instructive romp that explores the virtues and pitfalls of trying to become happier—with or without a drill sergeant. A documentary highlights how crew and audience were impacted.

"As well as your talent, you brought charm, humor, poise, professionalism and genuineness to both our set and your role. You made my Kevin believe in your Jeff."

~Director and But Not for Me co-star Kenton Holden

“Tom Glaser, as the father, does not need to speak to show his confusion and regret.”
